sedak isopure®: "it looks like glass, glass and glass"

Modern lamination techniques and glass formats up to 20 meters enable an almost seamless appearance of large-scale all-glass facades and roofs. Previously, this effect was only achievable with laminated safety glass; however, sedak isopure® now allows the same with insulating glass.

key benefits
  • transparency for all-glass facades
  • maximizing view
  • bespoke thermal performance
  • customized coating configuration

sedak isopure® revolutionizes transparency in insulating glass units (IGUs). Unlike conventional IGUs with bulky black or grey joints, sedak isopure® utilizes transparent glass spacers on visible sides, effectively minimizing the appearance of joints. In areas where the glass spacer isn't needed, traditional sealing ensures the cavity remains dry. The result? Nearly seamless transparency and unchanged technical properties. Available in sizes up to 3.6m x 20m.

The glass spacer, crafted from low iron glass, offers versatility and can be employed in one, two, or even three edges (for an all-glass design) of the IGU. Typically, it is utilized in the two vertical edges to reduce the visual impact of standard opaque spacers. For the edges of the IGU with conventional edge compound, Edgetech spacer is utilized.

In addition to meeting high standards of quality in processing and aesthetics, the glass spacer also meets contemporary Ug values. sedak isopure® is filled with argon gas and can be combined with various coatings to enhance performance further.

Application fields

Facades. sedak isopure® provides enhanced transparency, allowing for clear views without the visual disruptions caused by traditional IGUs. Using a glass spacer instead of a conventional joint means fewer joints are needed to cover the same area, resulting in a sleeker and more seamless appearance for the facade. Smaller joints contribute to a cleaner, more modern aesthetic that enhances the overall design of the building.

Roofs. The clarity of sedak isopure® ensures that the views from the roof remain unobstructed and visually pleasing. Whether it's a rooftop terrace, atrium, or skylight, sedak isopure® can provide occupants with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding environment. Roofs made with sedak isopure® can also allow ample natural light to enter the space below, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. This can reduce the need for artificial lighting during the day, saving energy and reducing electricity costs.
